VALUATIONS

PLEASE NOTE
Unfortunately, we are not undertaking valuations at the present time, due to our current workload. However, we are still able to offer complimentary insurance valuations for an item, made by us over the value of £1000; please enquire at the time of purchase.

When the worst happens, and you have to inform your insurance company that you have lost something or been victim to a burglary, the claim can be more straightforward and settled more quickly if you have an up to date insurance valuation.

Most insurance companies stipulate that a valuation is dated within the last three to five years, so it is important to make sure yours is up to date.

Whether it is for insurance, probate or division purposes*, all of our valuations are completed in house, giving you peace of mind when leaving your most precious items with us.

PRICING
We price our valuations per item, as we feel this is the fairest way to do it. The first item is charged at £45, which includes the initial consultation, with every subsequent item charged at £35 each.
For example if you had four items to be valued, we would usually charge £35 x 3 + £45 = £150.
Some premium items may incur further costs but we will always advise you of these beforehand.

The service includes a complimentary clean of your jewellery, and usually only takes up to a week for smaller valuations. More time can be needed for larger valuations, but this will always be explained during your initial consultation.

Please note that we do not undertake valuations of watches.

Please give us a call or visit us at our showroom to discuss your requirements further.

*TYPES OF VALUATION
Each valuation type has a different purpose. It is imperative that you ask for the correct type as one is not interchangable with another and could lead to your items being over or under valued. If you’re not sure which valuation you need, head over to our blog post to read a bit more about the different types we offer at Varoshe.
