Below are a few of the most commonly asked questions, but if you have any others, please do not hesitate to get in touch, we are always more than happy to help.

Yes, we offer a full polishing service (including re-plating of white gold if necessary), with prices starting from £20.
We also offer a free-of-charge ultrasonic clean for those times when you just need a quick spruce up.
-
Yes, it is above our showroom, which can be found on West Street, in West Malling, opposite Tesco’s.

We work with a wide range of precious metals, including sterling silver, gold (18ct & 9ct - yellow, white & rose) and platinum. We also make band rings from titanium.
-
We can make anything you want us to (and believe us, we’ve made it all)! However, our most common requests include: earrings, necklaces, engagement rings, wedding rings, eternity rings and dress rings.
We also make memorial jewellery which can incorporate your loved one’s ashes.
-
Yes we do. We make many types of bereavement jewellery and often incorporate ashes or hair.
We can also help you to redesign wedding rings and other jewellery to create something that can now be worn by you.
-
Yes, you can. We can melt down your old metal, refine it and remake it in to something new for you. We can also reset your stones. Bring any old pieces with you to your consultation so we can discuss how to incorporate them in to your new design.

This is always a tricky one to answer as there are so many factors; metal type, stones, how elaborate the design is, how heavy it is and so on. However, to give you a rough idea, we have calculated prices for plain band rings, based on an average size, shape and width for both a woman and a man:
METAL W / M
Silver: £48 / £65
9ct YG: £191 / £434
9ct WG: £216 / £504
18ct YG: £488 / £1,156
18ct WG: £566 / £1,353
Platinum: £425* / £1,066*(Prices are correct as of March 2024, but bear in mind that bullion fluctuates a LOT, this is just to give you an indication of the difference in price between the metal types.
*And, yes, platinum is cheaper than 18 carat gold at the moment - thank you economy!) -
Usually 4 - 8 weeks, once you approve the design, but we recommend coming in for your initial consultation at least 12 weeks before your deadline.
The design process timescale is usually dependent on you, but can take anything from a few days to a few weeks. We will be able to discuss this with you during your consultation.
We will always try and accommodate deadlines as much a possible though. If you need something made urgently get in touch to see how we can help.

If you would like to have something made, we would always recommend making an appointment to guarantee someone is available to speak with you. We allow 1 hour for an initial discussion and have three appointments times available Tuesday - Saturday. If you would like to arrange an appointment, click here to fill out our booking form.
If you have a quick question, or you don’t require a full consultation then you can pop in without an appointment, although due to the nature of our family run business, we cannot guarantee that we will not have other customers.

You don’t need to bring anything at all, but it’s useful to consider the following points before coming to see us…
Do I want to use any old gold or stones? If so, bring them with you.
Do I have any pieces of jewellery that I / they love? If so, bring these too (or photos of them) as they will help to give us an idea of the style you / they like.
Do I have any images of jewellery styles that I / they love? Pinterest is always a good place to start for this. It’s useful to think about the sort of ‘look’ you want to achieve. Will it be vintage, organic, simple, chunky, etc? (We’d recommend downloading images rather than depending on the internet as the signal is notoriously awful in West Malling!)

You can also request free giftwrapping at checkout and we can even write a gift card with your personal message if you want to send your order directly to your loved one.

The way that we work means that this is highly unlikely! The reason that we spend so much time with you in the initial design stages is so that we really get a feel for what you want to achieve, and we will never start work until you are 100% happy with the design. Each stage of the making process is explained and, in some cases, we can make models or show you samples to give you a better idea of what your finished piece will look like.
Your commission is as unique as you are so we can go as slowly as you need, to make sure you receive your perfect piece of jewellery!
-
Don’t worry, we have years of experience helping people choose their perfect design so just come in with an open mind and let us do the rest.
Buying for someone else? Why not give them a gift voucher?
These can be used to purchase pre-made pieces of jewellery from our showroom or online, or against our bespoke design service so part of their gift is to experience having something made just for them (we recommend a minimum of £200 for this type of voucher).
You could also purchase a loose stone to present with your gift voucher to give them something to design around.
Click here to purchase one of our gift vouchers online or contact us to find out more.
